Staveley U21 0 - 1 Sandiacre U21 (North Midlands Development League), Friday 2nd October 2026
This was my first match at Staveley since January 2025. The ground continues to develop and it is really one of the best at this level. Alongside the existing gym, there is a fitness suite being built. This is very much a community hub and you can tell the ground and surrounds are well looked after.
On the pitch, this was a hard-fought match. Its still early in the season so each team had only played 3 games before this one. Sandiacre - labelled 'Sandcre' on the scoreboard - took a 1-0 win after a drilled shot in the second half. The outlay for the evening was £3-20 (£2 entry plus £1-20 for a tea) so excellent value for money.
